Leighton's Gift

Leighton's Foot and frameThe daughter of one of our volunteers was part of the team to coordinate bringing Peek-A-Boo cameras to Texas Health Resources Hospitals.

After the loss of their daughter, Leighton, her parents mourned not only her death, but sadness that their families were not able to see her. She lived only a few weeks and visiting in the Neonatal ICU is limited. The family also missed many hours with Leighton's twin brother Jaxon who was released from the hospital after 74 days. Leighton's parents began raising money for web cameras - Leighton's Gift. Web cams were installed at Texas Health Hospitals in Plano, Dallas and Fort Worth this week.

Leighton's gift will benefit many families who can communicate with their children through the web cams. Not only viewing the infants, but reading, talking and singing to them.
