Crisis Pregnancy Centers

Andy Merritt and Polly Isinghood
We were fortunate last month to hear Andy Merritt from Edgewood Baptist Church speak about crisis pregnancy centers and how to help women who come to us for help.  He says his family are not only prolife -they are prolific. Andy and his wife have ten children.

In 1981 Andy led his church to establish the nation’s first church sponsored Crisis Pregnancy Center, which has now had the opportunity to minister to 50,000  women. In addition to the Center, the church established the new Beginnings Adoption Agency in 1984.
As a pioneer of the Crisis Pregnancy Center Movement, Andy has traveled nationwide assisting in the establishment and/or training of over 500 Crisis Pregnancy centers, and his church hosts a National Crisis Pregnancy Center Conference every other year. We have used his training tapes at our Center for over 25 years and his message remains the same: Every young woman who comes into the center is a gift and we have the opportunity to invest in the life of our client. He reminded us that seemingly impossible situations are simply opportunities.

Andy is an amazing speaker and has a desire to help as many women as he can, especially those who might be considering abortion.
